Grumpy Gus is (sort of) complete! At least what I set out to do in January - I may expand it in the coming months to be a full-length book. Finally got the 4th in my "Best Music of '08" series done, featuring Janelle Monae (kind of a punky, futuristic, R&B/soul singer - really great). I'm working on a not so secret project for Christmas time, but I'm going to try and get at least one more done before I move on to the Best of '09! Here's Janelle:

For the last few weeks I've been working on a series of pieces illustrating some of the best reviewed music of 2008. Thought it would be a good exercise to incorporate type, caricature in the context of spot illustrations. Take a look at the first few below, I'l try and get a few more up in the next few weeks.
